Facility Renovation Project
Fellowship House has instituted a major, three-phase renovation project for the 1625 12th Avenue South facility. It is our primary capital need.
The new facility will have an adequate sized cafeteria and kitchen...

Phase I has been fully planned and will consist of constructing a 2500 square foot
kitchen and cafeteria, located on property adjacent to our current facility.
The existing kitchen and cafeteria areas serving the 1625 12th Avenue South facility
are incorporated into a structure which also houses 36 of the residential clients.
Our program has expanded over time to include 72 residential beds and 60 transitional
housing beds. All daily meals have continued to be served from the same facility,
but it is not possible to serve that many individuals optimally with the original
kitchen and a 36 seat dining area.
Phase I will accomplish two vital goals. First, the new facility will provide
adequate accommodations and service for our higher census. Secondly, this move
will increase the safety of living quarters by moving all food preparation
to a separate structure. This phase is estimated by all planners to cost $500,000.

Phase II of the project will be the renovation of office space on the main
floor of the 1625 12th Avenue South building.
Phase III will conclude the project by renovating the residential quarters on
the second floor of the same building.
These phases do not have established plans yet, but we project the costs to be
at a standard rate of $160.00 per square foot
